The following list is not an “official list” published by the Catholic Church but the Saints included in the list are approved. In certain cases it may be the Church who has designated a Saint as a patron over the area mentioned, but in other cases it may be the Vox Populi (the voice of the people) who have sought the intercession of particular saints in these matters. In either way, it is a great tradition and of great comfort to seek the prayers and counsel of the saints that have gone before us, particularly matters as serious as firearms and the use of force. I cannot think of a better advisory counsel! So take a look and find a Saint or two or three to add to your advisors and intercessors!
